Quick & Easy Marinara Sauce

I'm all about easy homemade recipes that save you a trip to the grocery store! While I don't always have marinara sauce on hand, I always have tomato sauce and spices. This is a super pantry-friendly recipe that your family will love. It has so much flavor and comes together in no time. It's perfect on pizza, pasta or for dipping!

Quick & Easy Marinara Sauce
Slightly Adapted from Genius Kitchen
1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
1⁄2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. dried basil
1⁄2 tsp. dried rosemary
1⁄4 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. olive oil
kosher salt
pepper

1. Heat olive oil over medium heat in medium-sized saucepan. Sauté onions and garlic until brown.
2. Add tomato sauce and stir.
3. Lower heat to medium-low. While stirring, add rosemary, basil and oregano. Allow sauce to bubble.
4. Sprinkle with sugar and mix again. Season to taste with salt and pepper.


*Use immediately, or transfer to plastic container for storage.
