Healthy Orange Julius

I grew up going to our local mall and almost always grabbing an Orange Julius from the Orange Julius shop. For those of you that don't know, an Orange Julius is a creamy orange drink that tastes like heaven. I've made copycat recipes with orange frozen concentrate and lots of sugar before, but this version trumps them all! You actually use real oranges in this recipe and can make it as healthy as you want. The crazy part is, it ends up actually tasting like an Orange Julius!
In my version I used Cara Cara oranges, coconut-almond milk, vanilla extract, ice cubes and Monkfruit sweetener so it barely had any added sugar in it. The taste was perfection and I can't wait to have more of these drinks throughout the year!

Healthy Orange Julius

Makes 2-4 servings

3 large oranges, peeled and sectioned (I used Cara Cara oranges)

2 tsp. vanilla extract

1/4 cup milk (cow’s, coconut, almond)

1/4 cup sugar or other sweetener like Stevia, honey, etc. (I used Monkfruit sweetener)

2 cups ice cubes

1. Place orange sections into blender. Cover with lid and blend until smooth.

2. Add vanilla extract, milk and sugar. Cover and blend until combined.

3. Add ice cubes and blend until the texture is smooth and slushy-like.
