Potsticker Turkey Meatballs with Sweet Soy Sauce

I grew up having potstickers fairly often so maybe I have a soft spot for them, but when I tried these meatballs they tasted just like them to me. These meatballs are sooo good! They have so much flavor and are so unique. Our whole family devoured them. They are extra delicious served over some white rice and a drizzle of the sweet soy sauce. Less is more with the sauce, but it adds another level of great flavor. All in all, you need to try these! Definitely one of my favorite new recipes!

Adapted from All Recipes magazine

For meatballs:

1 egg

1 lb. ground turkey

1/2 cup panko bread crumbs

1/2 cup cilantro, minced

1 Tbsp. onion flakes

2 Tbsp. less sodium soy sauce

1 Tbsp. canola oil

1 Tbsp. sesame oil

1/2 tsp. salt

cooked white rice, for serving

For sauce:

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup less sodium soy sauce

1 Tbsp. rice vinegar

1/4 tsp. ground ginger

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

2. In a large mixing bowl, add egg, turkey, bread crumbs, cilantro, onion flakes, soy sauce, canola oil, sesame oil and salt. With your hands or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, mix together until combined.

3. Using a cookie scoop, measure out meatballs and arrange evenly on prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake 20 minutes until brown.

5. Meanwhile in a small saucepan, add brown sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar and ground ginger. Cook, stirring, over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand.

6. Serve meatballs over cooked white rice and drizzle with sauce. (Less is more with this sauce.)
