5-Minute Blender Salsa

If you're like me and have a garden bursting with ripe tomatoes right now, you know it's hard to think of ways to use them all. Enter this quick and easy salsa that uses your fresh tomatoes and tastes amazing!
The best part is you can adjust the heat/flavor of the salsa to your liking and include whatever seasonings you love.
This was a perfect way to use up some of my tomatoes and it's definitely something I'm going to be making every summer!

5-Minute Blender Salsa
Adapted from Cooking Classy
1 1/4 lbs. ripe tomatoes (about 5-6)
1 (14.5 oz) can petite diced tomatoes (you can also use fire-roasted or Rotel tomatoes)
2 green onions, ends trimmed, chopped into thirds
1/3 cup chopped red onion
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and roughly chopped (optional depending on the amount of heat you want)
1/3 cup fresh cilantro
1 tsp. garlic, minced
2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and pulse until all ingredients are finely chopped or pureed as desired.
2. Serve with tortilla chips. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week.
